Manual Data Entry
Overview
Data may be manually entered into eSight in a number of different ways. The eSight Express user interface enables users to enter meter readings directly into eSight by selecting the company, site, and meter which they are reading. Readings are then simply typed into the system and saved for that particular meter.
For users who enter meter data to spreadsheets, if they are able to enter this data into a pre-selected format, this information may be emailed to eSight. If the user has the Email Plugin application, data from the spreadsheet may be automatically stripped from the email and uploaded to eSight.
Users may also manually upload data from spreadsheets to eSight if required.
This flexibility means that if your organization is not immediately able to install automatic meter reading to all meters across site, that manual meter readings are not lost and may still be used within eSight.
