Data Distribution Service

The need to keep degree day data and calorific values up to date within eSight is essential. Hawkesbury provides a service where this data is delivered to your database automatically. This is provided for a single annual fee.

Degree day data is essential in understanding the relationship between energy consumption and outside air temperature. Many of the energy analysis techniques including regression analysis, benchmarking and league tables rely on accurate degree day data.

Calorific values enable you to convert gas meter readings into energy. With accurate calorific values eSight will translate your gas consumptions, often metered in cubic meters or cubic feet into kWh’s. This enables you to better manage your energy consumption and compare gas more easily between site or with electricity consumption.

United Kingdom

For United Kingdom based customers, we provide a service to update your eSight database with daily calorific values and weekly degree day data. We deliver 6 heating and cooling degree day values as a weekly figure for 18 degree day regions across the UK and 4 regions within Ireland.

Calorific values are distributed daily for each of the 16 local distribution zones.

Worldwide

We are able to provide this service for a growing number of other countries where eSight is in use. If you have a requirement for degree day or calorific values for locations outside the UK, please contact the sales department.
